EchoMP Credits Terms of Use

EchoMP Credits are a virtual currency used inside EchoMP to access features such as messaging, voice replies, persona creation, and other premium actions. These Credits Terms of Use supplement our Terms & Safety.

1. Nature of credits

  • Credits have no cash value and are not legal tender.
  • Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
  • Credits cannot be sold, traded, or exchanged outside EchoMP.
  • Credits do not constitute property or a financial asset.

2. How credits are obtained

  • Subscription grants. Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance, refreshed at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Top-up packs. One-time credit packs that stack on top of your monthly allowance.
  • Promotional grants. Free credits EchoMP may issue from time to time.

3. Refunds

We offer refunds on unused credits in the following circumstances:

  • Top-up packs. If you purchase a credit pack and have not used any of those credits, you may request a full refund within a reasonable window (typically 14 days from purchase). If you have used some of the pack, only the unused portion is refundable; used credits are non-refundable.
  • Subscription credits. Monthly subscription credits are part of an ongoing service. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access for the remainder of the paid period and any unused credits from that period are not separately refundable.

Used credits — meaning credits already spent on messages, voice replies, persona creation, or any other priced action — are non-refundable. Where local consumer-protection law grants you additional refund rights, those rights apply and are not limited by this section.

4. Pricing of actions

Each priced action (text message, voice message, video message, persona creation, voice cloning, avatar training, etc.) has a credit cost shown on our Plans & Credits page.

We may change the credit cost of any action at any time. Pricing changes apply to future actions only and do not reduce credits you already hold. We will keep the current price list public on the Plans page.

5. Subscriptions, cancellation, and downgrades

Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until cancelled. You can cancel auto-renewal or change plans at any time from your account settings.

Grace period on cancellation or downgrade. If you cancel your subscription or downgrade to a lower tier, the change does not take effect immediately. Instead:

  • Your current plan, its monthly credit allowance, and any tier-specific features remain active through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
  • Subscription credits granted for the current period stay usable until that period ends. Unused subscription credits are not refunded in cash and do not roll over once the period closes.
  • Top-up credits you have purchased separately are unaffected by cancellation or downgrade and remain on your account under section 6.
  • At the end of the current period, the cancellation takes effect (account reverts to the free tier) or the downgrade applies (lower tier and its credit allowance begin).

Material changes to subscription terms. If we make a material change to the subscription terms (including price changes, changes to what each subscription tier includes, or changes to these Credits Terms that materially affect paying subscribers), we will:

  • notify you in advance by email and in-app, and
  • turn off auto-renewal on your subscription until you manually re-confirm acceptance of the revised terms.

If you do not re-confirm before your current billing period ends, your subscription will lapse — your account will revert to the free tier and the persona-lifecycle rules in section 7 apply.

6. Expiry and forfeiture

  • Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains in good standing.
  • Promotional credits may expire after a set period; the expiry will be disclosed at the time the promotion is offered.
  • Credits may be forfeited if your account is closed, suspended, or terminated for violations of our Terms & Safety, including fraud, abuse, or chargeback activity.

7. Personas and subscription status

Personas you create on EchoMP exist only while your account is in active paid standing or actively using the free tier in accordance with our Terms. If your paid subscription lapses and your account no longer qualifies for the features used by your personas:

  • your personas may be deactivated or deleted,
  • other users who were chatting with your public personas will no longer be able to message them, and
  • persona data, conversation history, and uploaded media may be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

EchoMP personas are not portable. There is no export of a persona to another platform or to a standalone runtime. Persona functionality only exists through EchoMP.

8. Eligibility

You must be at least 16+ years old, or as required by law in your jurisdiction, to purchase credits or maintain a paid subscription. Purchases are subject to applicable jurisdictional restrictions and applicable tax.
